Hi Steve!

I got some questions/comments/suggestions about your recent article about
Java+Linux. Since I consider it the *only* documentation for a newbie like
me. I must admit that the help that come with MapJ isnt 100% newbie proof.

1-) Installing Linux == no problem everything goes whell.
2-) Install JDK1.2 and JSDK and setting the path variable... may be telling
user to append the path in ~/.bashrc

3-)Install vqserver --> your forget to mention to do some administration you
must logging on http://127.0.0.1:9090 using Log: admin Passwd: admin

4-)To Install MapXtreme 2.0 is now /InstData/Unix/Others/./install.bin
instead of jre -cp install.zip install

The real problems begin here....

5-)Install program seem to froze when doing a full install with JDK 1.2 (it
froze at 100% of the taskbar) but all other options install whell.

6-)Trying to run MapXtreme Java server didnt start using the command line
you provided.. ? throw exception in main...

7-)Trying to compile the MapJqueue.java and MapperServlet using your command
line didnt work. I succeed using the following but I am sure it was not the
best way to do it...:

javac
classpath/opt/map/server/:/opt/map/:/opt/map/server/mxtj20.jar:/usr/local/js
dk/lib/jsdk.jar:/home/httpd/mapg/public/MapX/ MapJqueue.java

and

javac -classpath
/opt/map/server/:/opt/map/:/opt/map/server/mxtj20.jar:/usr/local/jsdk/lib/js
dk.jar:/home/httpd/mapg/public/MapX/ MapJqueue.java MapperServlet.java

So I will appreciate if you could update your *howto* with a MapJ2.0 and
give more details.

Iam using redhat 6.0
jdk2.0 --> (is it recommended over 1.1.x ?)
jsdk for sun
MapJ2.0
vqserver

But in overall its an excellent article it help me alot.
(sorry for my bad englis, still learning)
