James,

Following is what I was helped three months ago. I moved the whole coverage
2000km
north. Go to the mapinfo reference book and find the MIF/MID format at the back
of that book.
In you case, you may need to have the switch distance in both X and Y direction,
 and then just
do the transformation. Hope that helps.

> The most accurate way to accomplish that would be to first Export as a
> MID/MIF table.
> Open your MIF file in Notepad, and add the line:
> Transform 0,0,0,2000 'that's for %X, %Y, metresX, and metresY.
>
> Make sure your Projection clause line supports Meters for the MapUnits
> parameter (there will be a 7 in the first 2 or 3 digits)
> Now import the file back to MapInfo.

Subject: MI Can I move a coverage?

I have a coverage that I have converted from a Shape file using UT but it
does not quite line up with the other coverage's in my browser. The shift
seems to be uniform across the area, and is towards the south west by about
1km.

Is there a way to bump the whole coverage up and across to make it visually
line up, even if it is not exactly geographically correct?
