Bob Wilson you are truly my hero! I was running out of spit! Thank you all
who responded to my 'color won't change problem'. The problem was I had
colored all my counties using thematic maps and I had forgotten. Remember - I
don't use this program every day so I am just a WEE BIT dingy.

You all are great!

Make sure you do not have a thematic layer above or that the layer in
question is thematic. Style override does not work on thematic layers.
Hope this helps.

Subject: MI Color won't change

What am I doing wrong? I am unable to change the color of my county. I'm
in
the map layer, called Reg3_cty map, I go into layer control, display, click
on
style override, change the color, click ok, then ok again at layer control
and
POOF! nothing changes. The cosmetic layer is editable, then I tried it with
the Reg3_cty editable, still zip-o. I moved Reg3_cty up in the layer
control,
zip-o. I've done this before so what could I be missing? I could just
spit.
