30 Million Records - Wow! I am not certain that a MapInfo native TAB would be
the optimal way to access a record set this large. Most likely the use of
Oracle 8i would speed things up quite a lot if you need to hunt around in
them. Try Oracle 8i Personal ($395) and down load their Spatial Cartridge
tester. MapInfo Professional 5.5 can connect to Oracle 8i via the Spatial
Cartridge. Let us know how things go....
