I have opened and closed MI and MapX many times and the problem persists. I
also tried removing the layer and putting it back in design mode, but no
difference. It appears to me that there is something slightly wrong in the
MI tables that MI pro can cope with but MapX cannot.

Do you close your MapX application and then restart?  Try that also you may 
want to remove the layer from MapX and then refresh the map and then reopen
- 
if I remember correctly you'll need to open under different names due to the

MapX error 'Table already Registered'.

I have a couple of medium-sized Mapinfo native tables (1 mb and 3mb .map
files). The last few records I added to these tables (using MI Pro 5.0) are
visible are visible when using MI Pro (version 5.5 now), but do not appear
when I user a MapX (3.5.2) application. As far as I can tell the rest of the
two tables show up in MapX OK. packing the tables does not seem to cure the
problem.

Has anyone else seen a similar problem?
