The orignial question was:
I would like to know if it is possible to convert Mapinfo format to BNA
format (Atlas GIS format)
the structure of the BNA format is as follow:
"1","1001",1232
248651.72,608490.13
248649.63,608489.31
248638.72,608490.56
248631.11,608492.56
248625.02,608494.81
where
1 = sequense number
1001 = id to merge data in (external) database (can be a label as well)
1232 = number of following x and y coordinates
248651.72,608490.13 = pair of x and y coordinate
Summary:
* Use Atlas GIS for conversion, it can read MAPInfo
* Use Arc/Info or Arcview for conversion
* Write your own program from MIF to Atlas GIS (fairly easy)
I found another solution on the web: http://www.dgt-inc.com/ast.html
the program Geomorph makes it possible to convert several GIS formats like:
MapInfo MIF/MID - MIF, ATLAS GIS Export Format - BNA, AutoCAD R12 Drawing -
DWG, AutoCAD R12 Export - DXF, ER Mapper, Vector - ERM, ESRI Generate Line -
ARC, ESRI Shapefile - SHP, ESRI Export - E00, MicroStation Drawing -
DGN,PROGIS Export Format - PXF, SDTS TVP - TVP, SDTS TNP - TNP, US Census
Tiger/Line - TGR, USGS Digital Line Graph - DLG, and XYZ Point XYZ.
A free download (10 conversions) is available.
At least for our purpopes it seems to be a good solution.
Thanks for all your response
