if you go to the usgs web site you can download all the topographic data files. These dem files will load into mapinfo and give you the terrain elevation. You can load the 3 arc second data straight into mapinfo 5.5, if you want the better resolution 24k dem files you need to have vertical mapper since they are sdts files. or grab a converter and convert them to dem files. I gave a batch processor I had to datadirections magazine. they should probably have it on their site. http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/doc/edchome/ndcdb/ndcdb.html Mike Lepage, B.Sc. I want to use mapinfo to help me locate gold deposit areas. I have the street network files for the state of Georgia. I know there are two belts where gold has been found that run from the NE to SW across Georgia. Does anyone have any maps that show mineral deposits or rock deposits or elevation data in the state of Georgia. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, send e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put "unsubscribe MAPINFO-L" in the message body, or contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
