Bill,
Suggest you look at obtaining the neat little SDK from the MapTools
Company - includes a little programme which makes making symbols very easy -
contact Robert Edwards ([EMAIL PROTECTED] last time I heard though could
have changed).
SDK has many other very useful utilities besides and for not much money
either!
