Greetings, List.

This question is probably as old as MapInfo, but I never found an
adequate answer - just "that's how it is."

If there are several objects of the same layer coinciding at a point,
and they are selected, highlighting will appear at that point if the
number of objects is odd and will not appear if it is even.

I (and probably several others too) need highlighting to appear
ALWAYS if there is one or more objects selected. No highlight
should mean no selection.

Yes, there are workarounds: map the selection layer using another
symbol, thematically map the selection layer, hide the original
layer from which I selected, etc. Not interested.

Either there is a way to modify MapInfo's "behaviour" accordingly
(very doubtful, but please enlighten me if I'm wrong), or someone
has written a program which would give the same effect, in which
case I'm very interested.

TIA to all responders.

Best regards,
Alex Eshed
