I work for the Ordnance Survey, the UK's National Mapping Agency. There is
some information on the history of the Ordnance Survey on our Web and also
has links to other mapping agencies. Our web address is www.ordsvy.gov.uk
On the left hand side of the home page is an index. You need to click on
"About OS" and then on "Our history" Just below "About OS" is another
heading "Network sites and links" which may also prove useful.
