This is probably due to the switch from 256-color to true-color in MI Pro 5.5. Before 5.5, it was possible to get true-color only by setting a registry entry. The default was 256-color. With improved support for true-color in 5.5, we changed the default to true-color. Now you need to set a registry entry to if you want to force MI Pro back to using 256-color mode.
