Dear Sami

When using functions, either in MapBasic programs or in MapInfo selects,
the projection used has to be set - it does not adopt that of the map
window.

If you are using MapBasic include a Set Coordsys as desired at the start
of your code. If you are using functions direct in MapInfo ( eg SQL
select or update column) then open MapBasic window from options menu and
type in the set coordsys clause there.

If you need to do it a lot use an editor to create a workspace with the
set coordsys clause in there and run the workspace whenever you need
that projection.

Regards
