I just looked for that registry key and couldn't
find it ! I'm running WinNT 4, and couldn't even find anything similar under
"border" or "export"
Do you think it could be under something else
?

On Win32 there is a registry entry
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MapInfo\MapInfo\Common\ExportBorder
The type of key is DWORD and setting it to zero is equal to
No Border Is Exported.
