I have a quad 550MHZ machine, and I find that both mapinfo and vertical
mapper will only use one cpu at a time. I even find that if I open a second
window for mapinfo it degrades the performance of the first mapinfo session.
(I have 2gb of ram so don't think that is a problem.)
