Dear Kris No it is not. This is one of the areas where MapInfo is weak. For any selection made all objects must be in the same table. You can however write MapBasic code to achieve it but the coding is not simple. You would need to duplicate objects into an additional table and maintain a field for the source table. I have done this for a CAD type "move" and "copy". Another feature for the wish list!
