RE: Extracting bounded coordinates from MapInfo. We have bounded layers and the coordinates are in Lats and Longs to 8 and 7 decimal places. To extract the coordinates using commands in the MapBasic windows or under MBX control to 8 and 7 decimal places you must, set coordsys TABLE BoundedTabName where BoundedTabName = an open layer with the bounds set. If you open a single bounded layer in MapInfo and set coordsys WINDOW frontwindow() MapInfo does not set the coordsys to the bounds as I would have expected and you will only extract 6 decimal places on your coordinates. It would appear that even though all the layers in a Map window are bounded except the cosmetic layer, the coordsys of the window is unbounded. Merry Christmas and good luck with the Xmas shopping.
