Hi, I am currently assessing the feasibility of moving our MapInfo dataset to an Oracle 8i back-end database. Does anybody out there have any experience of using Oracle 8i to store GIS data. I am particularly interested in the performance of spatial queries, multi-user capabilities, No. of Oracle concurrent licences required, and what the trade-offs in terms of licence requirements over performance are when using linked or live tables.
