Hi All! Let me begin by wishing you all friends on this list a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You are a constant source of knowledge, fun and a community that I am happy to be a member of. Special greetings go to Bill Thoen, who makes this list possible with his work and never ending patience. Now to my question of the day: I have a problem using my carefully designed maps in a MS word (97) document. The problem has to do with the use of transparent rasters. While these maps print perfectly when used in a MI layout, or printed straight from the mapper window, all transparent backgrounds come out as black when used as a MapInfo Map object in MS Word. I have tested different printers, no difference. Only by using BMP I can get the same appearance - but of course with unacceptably low resolution. I think that one of MIs major assets is the ability to act as an OLE server, shame that this functionality is limited in this way. Or has anyone come up with a solution? Happy Holidays!
