I am looking for suggestions or an utility to render my map layouts ready
for
the cmyk four colour separation process. I am creating
maps for publishing and I need these maps to be sharp and with high
definition.
My system is a NT 4 workstation with a network connection to a CLC 1000
printer, and 3 HP 3500 plotters. I have attempted to
use these print drivers to create postscript files that could be imported
into Corel and PhotoShop. This I have done without success.
I seems that both Corel and PhotoShop will not except postscript files
generated from an NT operating system. I have also check the MapInfo
web site for tips and I have attempted the suggestion on "Creating EPS
files from MapInfo", but this has not been successful either.

I am also running ESRI products on my workstation and I have had no problem
rendering my maps for publication because there are built in
utilities to handle the creation of an EPS for four colour separation and
in the case of ArcInfo there is a module to create the four separate
cmyk colour files ready for the imagesetters.

I would appreciate any suggestions; even a pointer to a third party vendor
would do.
Allan
