Hi,
I
have a point database of roughly 50,000 random distributed points over an area
of 100km2. What I need to do is sample 10 random points within a 30km
radius and get the closest 100 neighbours of each of those 10
points. This type of question has been posed
before but I just couldn't get the answer I was looking for. It appears
the RND() function (note to Mapinfo: there is NO online help on this function)
doesn't do it on obj rather than field. Then there appears to be no
nearest neighbour function either on points. Has anybody developed
anything that achieves what I'm trying to get at here? If not, any
leads I can follow? Thanks for your time and I will most certainly
summarize the results for everyone.
Cheers,
Sean
