I tried running the program, but the polygons weren't built properly...
the lines were all connected, but not using the original points layer as
nodes
( just randomly shaped/sized polygons were built). I'm trying to establish a
property map of a town from the 2 layers, and unfortunately the properties
are rectangular not hexagonal etc.!!!
Let me know if I'm doing something wrong...

Sure, I'd appreciate it.
Perhaps I should clarify one thing though: I have 2 layers, one with the
lines and one with the points representing the nodes for the lines if they
were polygons. Will the tool recognize these point objects as the nodes for
the polygons?

>From poylines you can have polygons by only pressing Convert to regions in
the object menu. To convert points to lines/regiona you can use a .mbx app
called conndots.mbx (17kb). If you want it I can send it for you.

Does anyone happen to know if there is a clean and build tool for MI(
similar to the Arcinfo tool), which will build polygons from points and
lines?
Prices??
