Hi All!
In these matters, an ortographic projection is used per definition (in
Sweden at least).
That is to say, the monument points are projected on to a plane and
acreages and so on are calculated on that plane.
This is probably because it had to be that way when they used only paper
maps and plans. As long as all use the same definition, this principle
works well.
This means that in theory you may get more acres of soil when you buy a
heavily sloping property.
But the house you build will not get bigger unless you make the floors
sloping as well.
The same principle applies in farming, a sloping field will not give a
better yield because plants grow straight up, thus using the same space
as on a flat field.
