I have a copy of the MapX 4.01 patch, obtained from the Mapx discussion
pages.
However, when it's installed the ocx is replaced with a version that doesnt
work in visual basic 6.0. It doesnt appear in the activex components dialog
and when you try to include the control it fails. VB thinks its an invaild
and unregistered ActiveX component.
Hence, when you try and use regsrvr32.exe this also fails to register the
activeX control.
Has anyone found a similar problem, got a solution or a new version for the
patch.
I need an update to v4.0 since this version seems to produce anomalous
calculations when performing buffering and intersections using active server
layers attached to the LayerInfo object.
Another problem with version 4.0 is the inablility to reference items in
Layers and Feature collections as in version 3.0. Again, I'm using a server
layer in Oracle Spatial 8i.
The following doesnt work...
dim ftr as new feature
ftr = ftrs.item(1)
OR
ftr = ftrs(1)
Tech support suggest that this works but it does not in version 4.0 without
the patch.
Does anyone have a version 4.01 patch that works with VB6.0???
