Hi all,

In 1997, Christian Singer posted a mail on the MapIinfo-L list to
explain how to
print transparent rasters in MapInfo without using the transparency
option in MapInfo which does not work correctly on Windows NT4. He
suggested to use a postscript printer and to print into a file. Than the
file has to be edited and the line "/image {imagemask} def" is added in
the print file just after the "%%BeginProlog" line. Than the file is
copied to the printer port.

That worked perfectly with our HP755CM plotter using a postscript level
2 driver.
But since we are using a new HP2500CM printer with a postscript level 3
driver, the command line Christian suggested doesn't work any more.

Does anybody know if the syntax of the command line has to be changed
for postscript level 3, or what
else can be done to solve this problem?

Best regards.

Frank
