Saw this go over the AkeView list today. I was wondering if there were any opinions on the pending MapInfo Professional 6.0 potential.... Thanks to all that contributed. The common themes were that Avenue will be supported, VB will be introduced and the hope that Avenue will be developed into a COM-compliant scripting language. It was kind of a heads up for everyone to see what their thoughts were on the development side of things for ESRI. I also have another question. I am interested in developing a macro to pull a few tables from an Oracle database through ODBC. I would like to access it on the fly through MS Access w/out making changes to the database side on the server. It would be kind of like getting the external data and using ODBC, but I would like it automated so when I open up the Access database, you press a button the the old tables get erased and the new tables for that day are brought in. Seems to make sense to me. I am sure someone has come across this same approach. Thanks to all, Todd McNeil GIS Specialist Aeronautical Radio, Inc.
