Apparently Outlook Express does not support the full MAPI standard
(according to Microsoft) so this may be involved. I have never tried to send
mail from MapInfo, so I offer the above as a tentative suggestion. Have you
tried Microsoft Knowledge Base?

Subject: MI Sending e-mail from MapInfo
I wonder if anyone has come across this problem:
Some time ago I tried to send a map window to a friend, using the option
File>send mail>current window.
MapInfo opens up an e-mail window from (in my case) Outlook Express, and
puts in the Subject line something like MAP0086.WMF, and opens an attachment
line saying
Attach: ~MAP0086 (561 KB) or similar.
One only has to fill out the addressee's e-mail address in the To: line and
that should do the trick.
However, after having pressed Send and in Outlook Express the option Send
and Receive, the message never got sent, sits in my Outbox and does not want
to be deleted either. Every time I now send e-mail, Outlook Express finishes
with an error message, saying it could not send that particular message (the
one with the Map attachment).
I'm running MI 4.5, under Win95 and use MS Outlook Express V5/Beta 2, as my
e-mail program.
Any suggestions??
