Hamish,

There is a TrueType font called "MapInfo Symbols" that implement the same
symbols
as the old 3.0 vector symbol library. Use that instead in MI Pro, and I'm
sure it'll work in MapX.

Subject: MI Pro symbols -> MapX symbols problem

Hello all,
I've used the geoset.mbx utility to convert a workspace to a geoset
and I'm
having a few problems (especially since I'm no expert in either
application).
     Specifically......
A symbol defined in the workspace as a Mapinfo 3.0 Font symbol appears
in
the workspace file as ....
          Global Symbol (32,16776960,5)

converted to the geoset appears in the .gst file as

"\TABLE\4\DISPLAY\SYMBOL\CODE" = "32"
"\TABLE\4\DISPLAY\SYMBOL\POINTSIZE" = "5"
"\TABLE\4\DISPLAY\SYMBOL\COLOR" = "16776960"

But when I edit using geoset manager it shoes the layer as having an
override style but the font displayed is arial with no symbol
selected.Mapinfo 3.0 is not shown as available in the font combo box.
Hopefully there is some way of MapX/geoset manager installing the
Mapinfo3.0 symbol font. If someone could tell me how or of some work around
I would be extremely grateful

TIA

Hamish
