I have some text files which I am bringing into MapInfo. My data includes a time stamp, a date in one column and a time in am/pm format in a second column. MapInfo always converts the time to decimal format, i.e. 12:00 pm becomes 0.5, 6:00 pm is 0.75. The decimal number does accurately reflect the percentage of the day from midnight that has pasted, but it is not very useful when trying to look at data. Does anyone know how to avoid converting a time into a decimal number? I have tried bringing the file into Excel and using many different time formats. I have also tried to format the column as text, both in Excel and MapInfo. I haven't been able to find any information in the manuals or on-line help regarding time. Thank you for your help in advance! Heather ========================== Heather M.
