There are some at Manifold's web site (www.manifold.net) and mirrored at 
other sites, but I didn't find them as useful as I had hoped. While I 
thought the file would be polygons of the world, it is a combination of 
points, polygons, polylines, you name it.

If you just need to hand-check something from time-to-time, it isn't too bad.
