I am interested in plotting stars using
celestial coordinates (right ascension = longitude; declination =
latitude). Plots of these coordinates look superficially like some type of
polar projection.
Is there some type of projection utilized by Mapinfo that can
be used for plotting celestial objects? Has anyone had success digitizing
celestial data from these types of plots?
I have looked for astronomy links to Mapinfo, but have not
found any so far.
Any help would be appreciated.
