Title: Custom symbol
Aaron,
If you are running Win2000 you can add as many as 6,400 new characters to your fonts using a utility (comes with Win2000) called eudcedit - just type it in at the run prompt.

Subject: MI Custom symbol

I have been trying to bring a bitmap in as a custom symbol without any luck.  I have followed the directions in the help menu, making sure the file is small (2K) and is 8-bit, but it does not show up in the drop down for custom symbols.  I have also restarted MapInfo, and made a layer editable.  The archives show many questions regarding this but I did not find any answers.  I was wondering if anyone has come up with anything, or knows of a work-around?

Thank you,
