I also have had trouble with text going into .pdf format. It seemes that sometimes a text object will be converted into a solid-color box in the position where the text should be. This only seems to happen when the text has extra properties such as a halo or drop shadow or a funky rotation angle i.e. 265.4 degrees. If I remove these properties, the text comes through. I don't understand it at all, though. Has anyone seen this, or is it just something I'm doing wrong? I've been through all of the distiller settings,tried all of the font embedding settings, tried .eps and .ps, used all of the different dpi graphic settings, etc. , still no love.... Any clues?
