Hello All,
After figuring out my affine transformation parameters (BTW, the
regression tool in Excel works well at calculating these things for you
given 3+ control points) I set out to project my non-earth layers to
UTM only to be completely confused with the coordsys syntax for
such a thing. Now in the 11th hour my mind is starting to play tricks
on me.
1) First off, is it possible, in MI, to take a local grid (non-earth feet)
and project it to a UTM NAD27 system?
2) If so, then I assume the affine transformation is my only in-house
route. What, exactly, is the syntax and procedure for adding my
affine parameters to the coordsys clause?
I've tried the export to MIF, edit the coordsys clause till I'm blue in
the face, then re-import route...... but, it's not working.
I've looked at past posts and since I'm missing the referenced MI 5
manual Appendix XX I've had to piece together the syntax......
Thanks,
Carl
