I worked on a
project whilst working for MapInfo
Australia called SISIC which was aimed at this age group. You may wish to give
them a call. SISIC
stands for Spatial Information Systems In Schools, and this project was the
result of cooperation with Schools, Government and MapInfo Australia to produce
an extremely low cost solution.
On the
front desk at MapInfo Australia there was, and probably still is a picture of
Virginia Chadwick the education minister in some sort of opening presentation
(with my ugly snout in there too).
SISIC
was a very good way of getting cheap map data, demographics and MapInfo software
in schools. Hopefully, it is still going - for the benefit of schools and
students as it does make interesting and fun coursework,
Regards
