Sorry, I haven't seen any laser which was as good as a thermal wax
or an inkjekt and as far as i know there can't be any.
Perhaps a tip if your Magicolor 2CX works like out Magicolor 330:
At our Magicolor 330 it was not(!) enough to tell the printer driver that

i want to use transparencies but we also have to tell it the printer at
the front panel (so every time i want to print transparencies i - prepare
my map - adjust the driver (=> transparencies) - run to the printer -
adjust the printer - put transparencies into the tray - run back to my
office - hope nobody else prints on the laser - push the print-button -
run back to printer and wait for output - adjust the printer back to
paper
- take a cup of coffee and try to convince my boss that we need
another
tray only for transparencies

You should try to use different transparencies, too, this sometimes
really helps.

Why not just print a colour palette (i think there is one available at the
mapinof-l ftp).
