Listers, My first lecture to a group of secondary school students went well and during my stumblings over the net I found some excellent resource material and had some equally excellent responses from the list. Thank yous go to Brian Cooper for pointing me to http://www.greenmap.com/ , Ian Johnson for his easy-to-understand definition of a GIS in "Understanding MapInfo" and to Robert Crossley for his advice and contacts that he sent me. One thing I did find was that 3d visualisations made it very easy for me to explain the fundamentals of topography and catchments to the students and that 65mins is not long enough.
