Hello all Well here is the summary of sounds like other people have had this problem and mentioned it to MapInfo. There were basically four solutions mentioned. Here they are: 1) Use DBF as the background database, limits the user to 8 character name titles but gets around the problem. 2) Link to the Access database using ODBC. 3) Use programming calls within Access to run activities in MapInfo. Requires programming. 4) Keep my eye on future products from MapInfo since to date there is no easy way to do it. Have not tried these yet but thanks to everyone who responded.
