I am still having trouble linking Access tables to MI Pro 5. This is after reading and following the info. in the manual and trying to wade through to info. in this archive. I need to combine info. contained in MI tables with info. contained in an Access database. I have used Save As, uploaded tables and even SQL Selected the two sources into one table. Save As creates a mappable Access table, but when I perform a make-table query, and add other columns, it is no longer mappable. Uploaded tables open in Access, but are not mappable. I believe it says that there aren't any un-mappable tables available. SQL Select preduces a hybrid table, but it is not real-time in that changes to the parent tables are not reflected, without running the queries again. In short, I required a real-time, editable, mappable database, with info coming from MI and/or Access97. Any help would be appreciated. I can elaborate on any of the above points. Matt S.
