MI Desktop shortcuts in Proviewer 5.5

Hello,   We have Proviewer 5.5 in our office, and more and more people are asking for it.  The location of our Workspaces and data can sometimes be rather cryptic to find across our network.  I thought I could just install the program on their machines, which then automatically would associate WOR and TAB files to Proviewer for opening.  Then create a simple Desktop Shortcut to various Workspaces across the network and when they clicked on a particular Shortcut, Proviewer would launch that Workspace.  It sounds good, but I am getting an error message:   "Mapinfo Runtime can only be run with a single MapBasic application"   The workspace opens fine when loaded from within Proviewer, that is, when Proviewer is launched first.   What have I done wrong?  Is this even possible?  Or am I spinning my wheels....again.   NT4.0 network, workspaces created in Mapinfo Pro 5.5.   Thanks in advance,   Bruce Dawson PLS Douglas County Transportation and Land Services
