Subject: MI renaming maps

the layers wthin the map ?

Try this:

1. Make sure that the map window you want to rename is the active window.

2. Select "Options -> Show MapBasic Window" from MapInfo's menu (or change
to it if it's
already open).

3. Type

Set Window FrontWindow() Title "Whatever new name you want to give the map"

in the MapBasic window, and hit ENTER.

The title of the map window should change to whatever new name you gave it.
With a recent-enough version of MapInfo (4.5 I think), the new title even
persists
in saved workspaces.

Hope this helps.
