This might be a simple question, but I was curious as to what is the most common method these days for creating digital vector maps? Are most digital vector maps created from scratch using a digitizing table and digitizing a hardcopy map or digitizing from aerial photos or satellite images or are they being scanned and put through a raster to vector software program and then edited afterwards? What is todays most common method?
