Much thanks for the tips Karen Behm belived my table to be in UTM. and suggested saving a copy and creating a new projection in decimal degrees. Gilles Perron and Jason Adam suggested changing coordinate units to another projection system other than Degrees. He instructed me to then redo the projection system back to Degrees. Andrew Dressel suggested using the MapBasic window and setting the coordinate system to Degrees. and then updating the column with coordinates from that system. I went with Gilles' and Jason's suggestion.
