MI Interactive Web-mapping

A client would like me to create a map displaying company location sites for
a region of Canada, incorporating the ability to click on each location and
automatically be directed to the companies website.

Is this something I will need additional software for, or is this simply a
matter of changing the format of the tables' column containing the companies
URL?
