I have an mbx which does just that. It is part of an add-on package called "GIS
ToolBox" developed by the australian company ERSIS software. (last known
http://www.ersis.com.au) Although developed a few years ago, we used it
successfully since V3 from Mapinfo. (were now at 5.5 on Win98 and NT).
