Hi I'm using VM as a front end to other raster GIS tools (IDRISI32 and GRASS) and has until know only used interpolated grid's (where VM is very strong compared to AV Spatial Analyst). But know I also need to convert classified data (regions) and would like to know how Vertical Mapper converts region to grid. Is it just a very simple conversion, where it takes the value at the grid center or does it use a more advanced algoritm ? AV Spatial Analyst uses the simple algoritm, and the results is very poor if there is a lot of small objects with different values.
