Antoine   This might not be the full solution your are looking for but it might be a work around.   With VM use the "region to grid function" and set the "grid cell size" to correspond to a pre selected thematic range value (this is the logical part). Once the grid is created within the region you can convert the grid back to points. Obviously each required polygon will have to be selected, gridded and converted back to points.
