Bob,

Win2k has a summary tab in the properties dialogue which allows you to save the following metadata with any file:

 

Title

Subject

Category

Keywords

Comment

Source

Author

Revision Number

 

Any combination of this metadata can be displayed through a detailed view in windows explorer.

I couldn't find any similar option in Win98 or NT4 so I guess you might have to upgrade to get it to work.

Hi,
I would like to add a documentation feature to my .tab files that would allow users who are interested to see:

• Who created a file;
• When it was created (and modified);
• etc.

Kind of like the summary properties in a Word document.

What is the best way to do this in MapInfo?
