We've got a copy of Manifold v4.5 in the office and have played around with
it a bit. It might take a bit of getting used to for MI or ArcView users
since the program seems to take a somewhat different approach to GIS. Not
necessarily better or worse, just different. The process of producing a
standardised output at a given scale with title blocks and things is a major
current weak point, but if Manifold can deliver on what they've promised for
v5.0 it should be a real winner. We're going to be evaluating it seriously
as a replacement for MI as our core GIS - that is, if they ever release it.
