MI Problems printing transparent raster images

I have had trouble clipping DRG's, but found a way around that by deleting the outside and making the color white transparent in "Raster Image Styles".  It works great, however, I cannot print them.  I have an HP 750 C plus and am running MI 6.0 on a Dell Dimension XPS B866.   P.S.
