I am "cleaning up" a large database and need to change the coordsystem in
several tabs. Is there an easy (mapbasic) way to do this? As far as I know I
have to use the save as function and choose the correct coordsys and a
different name. (Then I have to delete and rename the files in explorer.) It
is a very vulnerable and time demanding method.

I have i.e. tried:
Set Coordsys Earth Projection 8, 104, 7, 9, 0, 0.9996, 500000, 0
to change the coordsys to WGS84/utm32, but nothing happens. If I check the
projection in >map>options>projection...> it still shows the origin
coordsys.

Does anyone of you have an idea on how to do this.

I also wonder if there exist a better user's guide on the net. I find the
"5.5 user's guide" not too comprehensive for my purpose.
